Nendoroid Petite: K-ON! (The First): Cuteness Overload

Good Smile Company opened up reservations for K-ON! Nendoroid Petite (The First) set just yesterday. For those who don’t have money for the full Nendoroid set, rest assured, a collectible smaller version (65mm tall) of them is now within your reach. However, a bit more than the price of one Nendoroid, 5,712 yen, it’s set of 12. It includes the swimsuit versions, some of us thought it would be separate. To be released December 2010.

There is a full set of all five members of the Light Music Club band members, with their instruments. All in their standard school uniforms, there’s Mio Akiyama, Azusa Nakano, Ritsu Tainaka, Yui Hirasawa, and Tsumugi Kotobuki. You’ll be able to recreate a HTT performance, making it their cutest yet! They certainly look differently sculpt in the faces, compared to the standard Nendoroids. But in a way, they look even more adorable, I really like how Mio and Yui came out in the above set.

Light Music Club are ready to go to the beach! As they are in their swimsuits, let’s go swimming! A surprise that they are also included, and not another set. I really love how Azusa looks, there’s even an extra of Azunyan sunburnt included. I like also like Ritsu and Mugi in this set.

A Black Gold Saw Figure In The Making?

Mikatan has a bunch of teasers for us today, and I love teasers! To my delight it appears to look like a Black Gold Saw figure. I don’t know much about her, she’s a red-eyed, red horned girl. She carries a huge sword and appears to have a skeletal hands. But she looks like a mix between Black Rock Shooter and Dead Master, in terms of design. Her weapon is like her name entitles, a saw-like blade. Character created by huke. Particularly this illustration of BGS below.

I cannot wait to see her finished product!

Angel Beats! Nendoroid Petite Set 02 Release

Good Smile Company is releasing the second Nendoroid Petite set for Angel Beats! Three characters are included, this time it’s Otonashi, Tenshi (Kanade) and Yui. It’s set to be released in November, costing 2100 yen retail price. Pre-painted posable figures, not to scale approximately 65mm in height. Made from ABS & PVC materials, stands are included. The set comes with necessary items and accessories according to the series. Otonashi’s gun, Tenshi’s Hand Sonic skill blades and Yui’s guitar. Tenshi comes with 2 facial expressions, the second is a smiling face that was seen in the last episode.

This will probably be the most popular set, because of Tenshi. Overall I think all three look really great, much better than I expected. Tenshi looks even cuter than the other Nendoroid Petite included in Dengeki G‘s August issue. I kinda wish the other two, Otonashi and Yui had another face too… But these are petite, so I guess it’s pushing it. For the price I think it’s a good buy, especially for an Angel Beats! fan. I really enjoyed this series, as I already preordered the other set, I’ll do the same for this one.
Yui looks cute as ever, her cheerful expression is well represented. With her guitar, all she needs is the other GirlDemo girls to be released. Otonashi has a serious expression, and very well sculpted. I can’t wait to have all two sets together, it looks really great so far.
My gosh, Yui really is the cutest thing!

(GSC) Actsta Nanoha Takamachi Movie 1st

Actsta from Good Smile Company has posted some preview shots of their upcoming release. Nanoha Takamachi Barrier Jacket The Movie 1st version of their action figure series. There is no set release date or price, most likely there is a plan of Fate Testarossa to be released following. To note the other actsta figures released went for 9800 yen, which is quite expensive for an action figure.

She comes with 3 facial expression, her Rasing Heart weapon in all 3 modes; Device Mode, Sealing Mode and Shooting Mode. Yuno is also included, with fully moveable joints. The sculpt and paint job is really nicely done, it looks better than the figma. However Actsta is bigger than a figma, it’s about 1/8 scale figure, whereas a figma is 1/12.

I do think it looks very tempting from these preview shots, very curious on how Fate will look. I love the added detail of magic rings to her Raising Heart Shooting Mode. The wings also look better compared to the figma, though I don’t own any Actsta figures. Would be a giant among the rest.
