From October 3rd to Sunday the 4th, Dengeki’s Character Festival 2009 was held. Here I will show some highlights, of upcoming goodies (mostly figurines). As you can see the updated prototypes of future releases.
It looks like Ritsu from K-on! will be the next to be on preorder from the Nendoroid series. She looks good now that she is shown painted, I like the drums, wonder what extra faces/expressions she will have. Below Azusa and Mugi are still not seen painted, but some shots none the less, in case you haven’t seen them.
Bakemonogatari Nendoroids anyone?
Hell yes! I never really was into Nendoroids. Though they are super cute, just haven’t been from many series I really wish to lay my money down. But Bakemonogatari?! I think this will be a must, at least only Hitagi Senjougahara and Koyomi Araragi. They interest me the most, as for my opinion the only reason to keep on watching that show. The other characters aren’t as interesting, so I will probably pass on them depending. Looks to be two separate sets of three also.
Strike Witches Nendoroid continues!
Notice of upcoming Nendoroids in the works from the anime series; Strike Witches.
Lucchini Francesca, Charlotte E Yeager, and Lynette Bishop. Never saw the series, but this news should make quite a few people happy.
A second sign mentions Lucchini is expected to have a painted sample in spring of 2010.
Peppermint Yuzuko alternative hair sample
Goodsmile is really coming out with a lot of quality figures lately. Not surprising from them, but clearly they are ahead of the game, this one has green flared hair compared to the previous. Not sure if it’s showed separately from the black haired version or it’s an extra piece that comes with it. Either way, looks very cool, the chains are awesome. Reminds me of Nia with her hair like that. Never read the manga though, think I will, the character designs look interesting.
Painted Alphard prototype!
Is it wrong to like Alphard more in terms of character design? Honestly I don’t know what’s Type Moon and above shoulder length hair. Canaan looks almost like Arcrueid from Tsukaima, but has the freaky glare of Ryogi from Kara no Kyoukai… Anyway, regardless of that. In this set Alphard looks just awesome, but two of them are kinda needed for completetion *sigh*
Cute and deceiving Index-chan
Wow, best Index figure out there. I know it is only the second one, besides the extra figures from magazines, etc. But check out her gold trim on her cloak. It’s just amazingly detailed and looks like gold. Looking even better than the TV series itself, lol. She is holding a cat as it’s more clear now that it’s painted. I think for sure I will pre-order this one, it is a so-for-me figure. Extremely kawaii desu! Best of all has a kitty!

Nice bike, I like that model much better than the one-coloured plastic ones previously. I was thinking of getting those scooters aswell, as they under reservation now, but can’t decide what colour!

Dengeki Festival Exihibition
Look at past issues of Dengeki Festivals and such, hmm I see some Biribiri action there, and a Haruka pillow cover in the Anime one.
October and November issues will come with Netsuke straps. Looks super cute, omg!
