A Black Gold Saw Figure In The Making?

Mikatan has a bunch of teasers for us today, and I love teasers! To my delight it appears to look like a Black Gold Saw figure. I don’t know much about her, she’s a red-eyed, red horned girl. She carries a huge sword and appears to have a skeletal hands. But she looks like a mix between Black Rock Shooter and Dead Master, in terms of design. Her weapon is like her name entitles, a saw-like blade. Character created by huke. Particularly this illustration of BGS below.

I cannot wait to see her finished product!

Below is a teaser of Dead Master Nendoroid.

Figma Dead Master

Max Factory Figma’s blog shows some preview official shots of their Dead Master figma prototype. Black Rock Shooter animation is coming soon, on the 24th of July. With that being said, preorders of Dead Master figma will begin on the 22nd! So be ready then to order her. The foe of Black Rock Shooter, Dead Master yielding her scythe. The figma shows her menacing personality and fierce eyes.

The slender body with her the big horns, she is like the devil. The sharp claw like fingers and bat wings.

She doesn’t look as cool as the completed models, but as a figma, I think it’s pretty good. Can’t wait to order her, I can’t get only BRS without having Dead Master. Though I know some will do so, I love her character design as much as BRS. She comes with two skulls, I’m guessing it has to do with her powers. I hope to find out later when the animation is released.

She is going to cost 3000 yen, I’m not sure if anything else will be included with her. BRS figma has an included bonus DVD.

Update: Available to order now!

GSC Dead Master 1/8 Figure, Saber & Wakutsu Tomo Nendoroids

It’s June 22nd and today has some very good news for figure collectors. I have decided to bundle these three together since they all come from Good Smile Company. Dead Master Original Ver. 1/8 PVC and Nendoroid Saber: Super Moveable Edition are up for preorder today. Lastly cute Nendoroid Wakutsu Tomo has some more previews from mikatan’s blog.

Dead Master -original version-

Meet Dead Master, Black Rock Shooter‘s enemy. Based on the illustration by huke and sculpted by Hiro. This sinister looking figure stands about 280mm in height, at 1/8 scale. Dead Master -original version-  yielding her ‘Dead Sycthe’, ready to slay anyone in her way with her evil smirk. Just like BRS, she has piercing eyes, except DM’s is bright green. Holding a skull in the other hand, with the base which has been destroyed. The whole figure has a very grunge look to it, much like BRS. Being next to her, they both fit perfectly.

You can replace parts on the figure, the skull and scythe can both be removed. A chain is also given, just like the original BRS figure. She’s definitely worth the wait, I can’t wait to have her standing next to Black Rock Shooter figure I already own. Though November will be a long wait till then. I love her paint job, she has a hint of green highlights going throughout her hair. The detailing on her out is simply amazing, her expression is really haunting, I just love it. Along with her ghostly pale skin, she looks like a strong opponent with no mercy.

What it will look like in November! Together they look great, a figure not to miss!

Saber: Super Moveable Edition Nendoroid

From Fate/Stay Night comes Saber, unlike other Nendoroids GSC has released, this one is different! Good Smile Company has decided to try and make a fully poseable Nendoroid. Adding more joints around the body, so it can be moved in various poses, proving more action possibilities. She comes with three expressions: a smiling face, an angry face and even a face in mid-tantrum. But that is not all – she also comes with her swords Excalibur and Caliburn, as well as replaceable parts to recreate the sword in its “Invisible Air” form.

She may be a fierce warrior, but it doesn’t mean she can’t be cute! Saber looks adorable in her Nendoroid version, and her being fully poseable, she’s worth a purchase. I wonder if GSC will do this for the rest of the upcoming Nendoroid, or maybe just on this series. The possibilities seem endless, however one thing for certain, she looks fun to play with.

Nendoroid Wakutsu Tomo

Mikatan has some adorable samples of this Nendoroid on her blog. Wakutsu Tomo comes from a Japanese adult visual novel developed by Akatsuki Works. The game is called Rui wa Tomo o Yobu, which was released in 2008. Goodsmile is releasing this Nendoroid only as part of the limited first press edition of Rui wa Tomo o Yobu Fan Disk, ‘Ashita no Mukou ni Mieru Kaze’. Coming out in September 2010, for ¥9240.

Can one believe this super moe and cute character is a guy?! Well yes, apparently so. Oh the Japanese love to trick us with their traps. Nonetheless, Tomo looks damn cute in this Nendoroid edition, but it’s an exclusive and too expensive, so I’ll pass.
